THE FIRST VIETNAM SCHOOL WAS BUILT WITH RECYCLED PLASTICS
On September 9, the People's Committee of Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province coordinated with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Investment and Trade Consulting Company INTRACO to inaugurate and hand over the kindergarten in Ngai Phong Cho village, Cao Son commune - an extremely difficult upland commune of Muong Khuong district.
This is the first school in Vietnam built entirely with recycled materials, helping to reduce the emission of 115 tons of plastic as a strong message, a reminder for the preschool generation, the future generation of the land. country on environmental protection.
The school site has a total area of 1,036m2 with 3 classrooms, 1 kitchen, and 2 function rooms, meeting the needs of teaching and learning kindergarten for 100 children.
The school site has strong highland influences with overlapping blocks of houses; courtyards imprinted with terraced rice fields along the mountainside, stylized sarcophagus with soft bricks; The colorful playground and surrounding fences are inspired by the brocade colors of the Mong ethnic group.
Appreciating the purpose and significance of the work for the education and local environment, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union Ha Thi Nga hopes that in the future there will be more construction projects that bring about joy and happiness for children in mountainous, remote, and challenging areas associated with the cause of environmental protection.
She believes that the model of this school site will be increasingly replicated in Muong Khuong district and localities across the country.
