RUBBER PRICE TODAY 23/5: JAPANESE EXCHANGE DECREASES SLIGHTLY

Rubber prices today 23/5 recorded the Japanese exchange turned down slightly. Shanghai rubber (China) also continued to maintain a downtrend from last week.

At the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the price of rubber for June delivery in June 2022 recorded 243.0 yen/kg, down 0.41% (equivalent to 1 yen/kg) at the time of the survey at 7:20 a.m. (Vietnam time).

On the Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the price of RSS3 rubber for delivery in June 2022 was adjusted to 12,765 yuan/ton, down 0.62% (equivalent to 80 yuan) compared to the previous transaction.

From the beginning of May 2022, in Binh Phuoc, the price of raw rubber latex purchased by Phu Rieng Rubber Company is in the range of 310-350 VND/grade, down 10 VND/latex compared to the end of April 2022.

In Binh Duong, the purchase price of raw rubber latex of Phuoc Hoa Rubber Company is kept at 345 VND/degree of latex; Latex price in Gia Lai was purchased by Mang Yang Rubber Company for 310-320 VND/grade, stable compared to the end of April 2022.

According to the statistics of the General Department of Customs, in April 2022, Vietnam exported 78,330 tons of rubber, worth 141.43 million USD, compared to April 2021, up 26.3% in production and up 28.3% in value.

Accumulated in the first 4 months of 2022, rubber exports reached 485,220 tons, worth US$856.98 million, up 3.7% in production and 9.3% in value over the same period in 2021.

Regarding export prices, in April 2022, the average export price of rubber was 1,805 USD/ton, up 0.2% compared to March 2022 and 1.5% compared to April 2021.
